Engineering Interoperability Day 2026 | October 1, 2026 | NH Frankfurt Airport West, Raunheim

Engineering Interoperability Day 2026 – The joint event for industrial interoperability

The Engineering Interoperability Day brings together two established communities for the first time: the STEP AP242 Day and the JT Day. The goal is to unite experts, users, and decision-makers from engineering, IT, and production in a joint format and to strengthen the exchange around standards, data models, and end-to-end engineering processes.
Both events have been well-established meeting points for their respective communities for many years. By merging them, a new, integrated event is created that meets the growing demands for interoperability, data consistency, and digital continuity.
The increasing interconnection of topics such as standardization, data exchange, and product lifecycle processes makes joint dialogue more important than ever. The Engineering Interoperability Day provides the central platform for this—compact, focused, and practical.

Key Topics 2026

The focus will be on:

  • Data exchange and long-term archiving (LOTAR)
  • Handling of classified information
  • Material properties (including composites)
  • Traceability of product data
  • Smart manufacturing data
  • End-to-end processes in the product lifecycle

These topics demonstrate how engineering data is created, connected, and made usable throughout the entire lifecycle.

Who Should Attend

The Engineering Interoperability Day is aimed at:

  • Experts and users from engineering, IT, and production
  • Decision-makers and strategy leaders
  • Implementers of STEP and JT solutions
  • Representatives of software vendors and consulting companies

A Compact One-Day Event with Maximum Value

The Engineering Interoperability Day is designed as a focused, one-day, on-site event and offers:
