prostep ivip opens Shop Window to the Far East
Functional safety, traceability, and verification management are
topics that move the industry – especially when it comes to the
realization of highly automated and autonomous products. Methodically
and technologically the focus is increasingly put on model-based
systems engineering, particularly by the automotive industry.
In this context, prostep ivip continues to pursue its standardization
activities, particularly with projects such as SmartSE, the SysML
workflow forum and ReqIF. Of course, there are other players around
the world who are active in this field. For this reason the association
decided to hold for the first time a conference on this subject in
Japan, also underlining its strategic goal of expanding a foothold in
Japan.
Thus, the first prostep ivip Systems Engineering Day
took place on 17/10/2919 in Tokyo and every seat was taken: interested
experts from e.g. Aisin, AVL List, Bosch, DENSO, FUSO, Hino, Honda,
Jatco, Mazda, MEIDENSHA, Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, Nissan, Panasonic,
Suzuki, Toshiba, Toyota, Volkswagen and Yamaha ensured a sold-out event
long before the actual conference date. Representatives from the Japanese
Ministry of Economics METI and from ISO were also among the participants.
The European and Japanese speakers presented innovation and
standardization projects currently debated in the community. It was
a very successful day which not only promoted content-related exchange
but also contributed greatly to networking.
At this point we
would also like to express our special thanks to one of our members:
without the dedicated support of NTT Data on both the German and Japanese
side the first prostep ivip SE Day in Japan would not have been such as
success story – ranging from providing the premises to the personal
support on site.
