A JT benchmark will take place again in 2022/2023. The last one was carried out in 2018. The aim is to demonstrate the maturity of the JT DIN SPEC and the applications and to provide a neutral comparison of JT applications. Since the last benchmark, new versions of the standards have been published, and new capabilities are now mature enough to be benchmarked for the first time, such as: semantic PMI, validation properties and kinematic mechanism. In addition, the CAD systems as well as the vendors' tools have also evolved.

The benchmark will be divided over two years. In 2022, the test criteria and test methodology will be defined, and the test matrix and test environment will be prepared. The actual benchmark tests followed by a review will then take place next year. The results are documented over the entire period and then published in a short and a long report.
