Honda joined the prostep ivip community

Darmstadt, 22 May 2017 – Great news: After Toyota, Honda is now the second Japanese car manufacturer who wants to benefit from the experiences gathered in prostep ivip and who will play an active role in our community. Special interest of Honda lies in exchanging experiences for supporting collaborative engineering processes. Thereby the standard-based exchange via STEP AP 242 and JT is seen promising. Additionally, topics like ALM-PLM Interoperability and IT-Openness, address by prostep ivip’s CPO-initiative, are in Focus.

Prof. Dr. Oliver Riedel, Chair of prostep ivip’s Board states “We welcome the experts of Honda in our community. This is an engaged step forward. Big Japanese players, like Denso, Fujitsu and Toyota already take advantage of the prostep ivip membership. We are glad, that our efforts in the past year to strengthen the Japanese community within prostep ivip bear such remarkable fruits.”
