This year's JT Day took place on October 23 at the Fraunhofer Forum Berlin. The event brought together numerous specialists, users and experts to shed light on the JT format and its versatile application possibilities.
Many thanks go to our hosts Fraunhofer IPK and Fraunhofer-Forum Berlin, as well as to the dedicated moderators Melanie Heinzler (Unity AG) and prostep ivip honorary member Alfred Katzenbach. They guided the participants through a multifaceted program that offered a successful mix of technical presentations, use cases and practical demonstrations.
The keynote speech by Marvin Manouri (Fraunhofer IPK) opened the day with a comprehensive insight into industrial transformation. Presentations such as that by Dr. Siegmar Haasis (HaasisDEC) on “JT for Systems Traceability”, which underlined the potential of JT for linking complex data structures, and by Benjamin Helfritz (DIN) on the Digital Product Passport received particular attention.
Further exciting insights were provided by Dr. Steven Vettermann from Ascon Systems and Johannes Beehr from Threedy, who shared their approaches to live visualization in production. The program was rounded off by a wrap-up presented by Rudolf Dotzauer (Continental) and Bernd Watzal (Mercedes-Benz AG), who shared their experiences and perspectives on the future development of the JT format.
Our prostep ivip project groups are actively committed to the further development and standardization of JT as a universal format for industrial applications. JT facilitates the efficient exchange of data along the entire value chain, strengthens collaboration between partners and supports cross-company processes.
We would like to thank all participants and speakers for their valuable contribution and look forward to another inspiring symposium next year! You can find more information about our project groups and events at www.prostep.org
