Collaborative Requirements Management (CoRM)
Term
2007 - 2009
Mission
At the moment, requirements management systems which support work in project teams by providing appropriate versioning and management functions are being used to an increasing extent for drawing up and managing requirements.
These systems are often used to create the appropriate requirements specifications as documents. An exchange format, RIF (Requirements Interchange Format), was defined within the framework of the OEM Initiative Software to enable the direct exchange of requirements between requirements management systems from different vendors. Processes that support cross-organization requirements management, however, have not yet been defined.
The objective of the CoRM project is to publish RIF as a ProSTEP iViP Recommendation and define the reference processes required for cross-organization requirements management.
The initial results of this work have been published as a White Paper, which describes the steps required for implementing cross-organization requirements management.
