Mission
The future ISO-Standard JT (planned for 10/09) is increasingly widespread in the industry. A whole set of JT-translators is available on the market. However, no verifiable statements can be made at this time on the quality and applicability of the interfaces. For these reasons a neutral and comprehensive evaluation of the commercially available JT-translators for CAD-systems is to be conducted in a benchmark. The main focus is put on data quality, functionality, performance and handling.
Benchmarking – A proven ProSTEP iViP method
Test criteria and test cases will be derived from the conformance- and quality criteria defined by the JT Workflow Forum. On the basis of these criteria and the provided test models the processors of the participating system vendors are tested. The test results will be published at the end of 2009.
