Mission

The objective of the ECAD Implementor Forum (ECAD-IF) is the harmonization and specification of implementations based on the VDA 4964 (harness description list/Kabelbaumliste (KBL) and the models on the Harness Description List (KBL), ELOG, KOMP and GEO.

Implementation Support for VDA Standards on Vehicle Electrics

The ECAD-IF works closely together with the project group Vehicle Electrics of the VDA (German Automobile Association), to support system vendors with the implementation of standards, to provide guidance/insight from an implementation point of view for the new development of the VEC (Vehicle Electric Container) and to ensure compatibility to existing standards.

The results of the project groups and the future objectives/goals were presented to a broad public at the KBL Day 2009. Here you will find a report on this event as well as a download link to the released presentations.
