Mission
Goal of the CPM-Recommendations (PSI 1-1, PSI 1-2) is the optimization of project management during the product creation process (PEP) in the automobile industry across company boundaries. The focus here is on task-, time- and communication management.
Key activities are the maintenance of the CPM Recommendations, the coordination with other committees concerned with project management, and public relation activities.
Selection of Project Management Standards for the Automobile Industry
Selecting the „right standard“ according to one’s own needs is for the user a complex process fraught with risk. Many of the project management standards available today do have in fact the same objective, but are partly contradictory or industry specific.
Together with the German Society for Project Management (Deutschen Gesellschaft für Projektmanagement e.V. (GPM)) ProSTEP iViP wants to provide assistance in selecting from existing project management standards and using those standards in the automobile industry. This is the reason for setting up the project AutoPM.

Focus is placed on maintaining the two ProSTEP iViP Recommendations listed below:
