ECM Implementor Forum (ECM-IF)

Mission

The objective of the ECM Implementor Forum is to implement the specifications drawn up by the Engineering Change Management (ECM) project group in software products and to document the corresponding harmonized implementation guidelines. The ECM IF provides a common platform and infrastructure for system developers to ensure conformity of ECM systems with the recommendations drawn up by the ECM project group. Conformity tests are performed for this purpose. The experience and insight gained is then incorporated in the further development of the ECM recommendations and thus in the specification of OMG PLM Services.
