What is STEP?
STEP is an international standard for the representation and exchange of product model data. STEP is a synomym for the ISO standard series 10303 "Product Data Representation and Exchange" and provides the essential basis of product data technology. Through STEP, a uniform description of product data is given.

What information does the STEP Portal offer?
The STEP Portal was originated to keep the CAD and PDM user still a possibility to inform himself about the current topics around STEP.
What is a benchmark?
The benchmark is an annual test event within the ProSTEP Center. In the Benchmark a cyclic test and an inter-system test are performed with all the STEP processors involved on the basis of a previously defined number of test models that, unlike the Test Rally, are available in every system.
