March - Darmstadt – On May 5 and 6, 2015, the PLM-Symposium for professionals and executives from all over the world will take place at the International Congress Center (ICS) in Stuttgart, Germany.
Global competition, shorter development times, lower costs, Internet of things, Systems Engineering, increasing complexity of products and production are the issues that concern the manufacturing industry. Engineering and production have to be closely interlocked – more transparency is needed. The management needs the right figures and prognoses to make decisions. This requires innovative thinking, new methods, and processes and in the end efficient software tools. All these aspects will be subject matters at the ProSTEP iViP Symposium 2015.
More than 40 lectures will present innovative concepts and IT solutions for the manufacturing industry. Workshops and live-demonstrations at the accompanying exhibition should provide further information and insight. The complete conference program is available at http://www.prostep.org/de/events/symposium/symposium-2015/programm/05052015.html.
In addition to opening speaker Dr. Matthias Klauda (Robert Bosch GmbH), keynote speakers like e.g. Bret Greenstein (IBM), Prof. Dr. Alexander Verl (Fraunhofer Gesellschaft), Oleg Shilovitsky (Beyond PLM) and Dr. Siegmar Haasis (Daimler AG) will share their thoughts with the audience.
The organizer ProSTEP iViP e.V. expects about 550 participants from industry, research & science, and IT.
The symposium will be held for the 18th time and has become established as an independent conference in the area of Product Lifecycle Management.
