ProSTEP iViP Symposium 2008

Configuration Management auf Italienisch - mit der konfiguierten Pizza zum Erfolg
Arne Krömer, Airbus CIMPA

Abstract

With definite identification and clear rules configuration management gives the base for success of your products. Cost minimisation are also outlined as well as the satisfaction of customers. The workshop shows with realistic scenarios what has to be taken into account to secure the product quality in the product development process.

In times of cost reduction and continuously growing requirements of the product quality you have to live up to the challenges with documented methods. Based on the general rules of the CM II standard, at the workshop we will develop the principles of the CM II change management process. It will be shown that with few, but clear and valid requirements and defined processes this goal is reached.

With realistic examples the rules for success of your product are projected. The importance of ensuring valuable actions which lead to cost minimisation will be outlined. CM is not only seen as one part of product lifecycle management, it gives the framework to keep projects in the magical triangle (time, cost and quality).

The workshop will not only target the key words: shorter processing time, main data management and fewer adjustments but also target figure of a consistent procedure with clearly defined responsibilities.
