Track 7/1
Virtual Validation within the Product Process
Martin Saller, Audi AG
Abstract
The boost of derivate cars that Audi will bring to market in the next years is causing a demand for an increased application of virtual techniques in the product process.
The presentation will illustrate which dedicated techniques and/or applications Audi already has introduced and how the consistent use of those virtual techniques can support the defined objectives of meshing the process chain as well as shortening the product process.
Based on project examples the presentation shows how Audi consistently works on further developing virtual milestones within the product process and how virtual methods can increase the efficiency within the design process.
