Achievement of Efficiency in Cross-Company and Interdisciplinary Projects

Abstract
Based on the methods for collaboration in partnerships and networks, developed and published by the ProSTEP iViP e.V. project group "Collaborative Project Management (CPM)", the presentation will point out how project activities in product development projects can be synchronized in order to achieve high benefits.

Additionally there will be an introduction to implementation scenarios, examples of implementation possibilities in the systems ACTANO - RPlan, Microsoft and Campana & Schott (Project Server/ SharePoint), PTC - Project Link and SAP- cProjects/cFolder as well as approaches for training concepts.

Secure Data Exchange for Dynamic Enterprises

Abstract
Today complex products are developed and produced worldwide in ever changing teams. This means, that enterprises must be able to dynamically react to new constellations of partners. Such processes pose high requirements to almost all areas of the participating enterprises – ranging from the buying department over the legal department to the IT-infrastructure and the social competence of project leaders as well as every single employee. Therefore, simple concepts for data protection, where data traffic is separated into trustworthy and untrustworthy zones, are no longer sufficient. Depending on the project situation and the constellation of the cooperation, data must be specifically made available to a given group of people for a concrete task. Hence, security mechanisms must be integrated into relevant applications and allow for a fine-grained control of rights for reading, writing, modifying, etc.

The ProSTEP iViP working group "Secure Product Creation Processes" has taken up this challenge and is working on corner stones of a solution, which can be used within the whole automotive sector. Apart from ensuring interoperability of different IT products, the main challenge is to reach a high level of protection and still allow for an easy introduction of the solution into the enterprises. This contribution describes the overall approach and gives an outlook to planned results of the working group.
