Are you a young engineer, and does your diploma/master/doctoral thesis focus on virtual product creation? Are you interested in introducing your ideas to representatives of leading manufactures and IT companies?
If so, ProSTEP iViP is offering you the chance to win €1,000 (diploma/masters thesis) or €4,000 (doctoral thesis) in it’s ProSTEP iViP Scientific Award 2017.
ProSTEP iViP is an association of key global players from automotive and aerospace, IT industry and research. It is committed to developing innovative problem-solving approaches and modern standards for product data management and virtual product creation.
ProSTEP iViP goals are to enhance cross-enterprise and cross-domain communication and collaboration, optimize the value added chain in the product creation process and encourage vendor-neutral PLM standards. We aim to ensure the interoperability and quality of software solutions for the product creation process through the development of standards.
Any final-year student who has submitted his/her diploma/master/doctoral thesis to a university by 27 January 2017 on a topic related to virtual product creation.
Theses written in German or English are eligible for submission.
Please provide the thesis and the related opinion letter of the supervising professor.
The following ProSTEP iViP Board Members are on the Scientific Award jury:
Dr. Oliver Riedel (Volkswagen), Armin Hoffacker (Robert Bosch),
Ulrich Ahle (Atos), Prof. Dr. Rainer Stark (Fraunhofer IPK).
The ProSTEP iViP Scientific Award will be endowed in a ceremony at the ProSTEP iViP Symposium 2017 in Essen. And of cause, the Association will bear the winner’s travel expenses.
The jury will announce the winning thesis from all the entries by 3 March 2017, and the award will be presented during the ProSTEP iViP Symposium on 17 May 2017 in Essen. All winners will have the possibility to present their results within a poster session within the framework of the ProSTEP iViP Symposium and the winner of the doctoral thesis award will present his/her thesis at the ProSTEP iViP Symposium on 18 May 2017.
